Polygon POL Token Surges 31% Amid Rising Network Activity
Polygon's POL token has surged by over 31% in the past 24 hours, driven by increasing network activity and a stronger risk-on sentiment in the crypto market.
The surge has been accompanied by a significant increase in daily trading volume, which rose by 133% to around $365 million, according to recent data. This growth is largely attributed to rising demand for Polygon's services, including its decentralized exchanges (DEX) and perpetual contracts (Perps).
In fact, the chain's DEX volumes have increased fivefold over the past two weeks, while Perps volumes have surged by 8.6 times. The integration of Frax's frxUSD-based FX pools has also boosted Polygon's stablecoin settlements, with its main business currently being multi-bank currency conversion.
The chart analysis suggests that POL is trading above $0.085, the neckline of an inverted heads-and-shoulders pattern. However, it faces resistance around $0.12, which could force a correction to find strength before moving toward $0.18.
