Polygon Revenue Surges to $1.3 Million as Low Fees Drive Network Activity
Polygon's revenue has surpassed $1.3 million over the last 30 days, demonstrating a significant increase in economic activity on its proof-of-stake chain.
Data from various blockchain data providers reveals that Polygon's revenue is indeed substantial, with DeFiLlama reporting $2.15 million and Token Terminal recording $1.7 million in monthly revenue for August 2026 and $2.6 million in July.
The disparity in numbers stems from the way each platform measures network revenue, but one pattern is clear: Polygon is generating revenue through network activity.
Polygon's business model focuses on high transaction volume with low user costs, which has led to a significant increase in transactions processed by the network. In fact, over 1.83 billion transactions have been processed since the beginning of September 2026, resulting in $24.7 million in fees.
The key difference between Polygon and other blockchains lies in its approach to revenue generation. While others rely on expensive transactions, Polygon seeks to make money from numerous cheap transactions.
