Polygon Token Drops 10.55% Amid Overbought Conditions

Polygon's native token, POL, experienced a steep decline of about 10.55% in value after weeks of strong network activity and institutional interest. This reversal comes despite the token still trading above key moving averages, with prices ranging between $0.0889 to $0.1555 over five days.

The recent rally was driven by increased network activity, higher transaction counts, and elevated on-chain economic value, including record volumes. Additionally, large inflows into spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs contributed to the uptrend, broadening demand for altcoins. However, sustained selling pressure offset these developments.

Technical indicators suggest a bearish trend context, with the Relative Strength Index (RSI) at 91.131, Stochastic RSI at 100, and Commodity Channel Index (CCI) all signaling overbought conditions. Meanwhile, the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) and Average Directional Index (ADX) indicate a buy setup.
