Pons Price Plunges 16% Amid Post-ATH Correction and Market Risks

Pons (PONS) has seen its price drop by 16% over the past 24 hours, largely due to a broader post-all-time-high correction rather than a specific news event. The token's rapid rally in recent weeks was driven by substantial platform fees and aggressive buybacks, but this surge has led to a sharp correction.

Market maker Wintermute purchased PONS near its all-time high, and since then, PONS has dropped over 30% as Robinhood Chain's volume decreased from $3 billion to under $2 billion per day. This correction is part of a broader market comedown after a speculative spike.

The decline occurred through a series of lower price prints throughout the day, indicating ongoing distribution and profit-taking rather than a single liquidation event. PONS fell from approximately $0.61 to $0.51, a 15.8% decrease with about $70 million in volume.
