Pons Reaches New Heights as Buyback-and-Burn Mechanism Gains Momentum
Pons has reached an all-time high of $0.2082, representing a 456.85% increase over the trailing month, according to CoinMarketCap. The token's circulating supply stands at around 709.89 million out of a hard-capped 1 billion max supply.
The platform's real-world asset (RWA) expansion is ongoing, with V2 already supporting trading pairs against tokenized assets and new pairings being added on a near-weekly basis through August. Pons has also announced the addition of cbBTC pairs, giving creators access to over $7.5 billion in Bitcoin-backed liquidity.
The protocol's buyback-and-burn mechanism is compounding, with 29% of total supply already burned and 80% of all revenue being routed directly into accumulating and burning more PONS. This sets up a genuinely deflationary token model, which is rare in the market.
