Poolin Files for Bankruptcy, Lists $173M in Unpaid Debt
Poolin, a major bitcoin mining company, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the U.S. to sell its Texas mining assets through a court-supervised auction.
The company owes about $173 million, mostly from IOUs issued after suspending wallet withdrawals in 2022.
Interest from AI infrastructure buyers has increased bidding for the assets, reflecting a trend of repurposing mining facilities for AI and high-performance computing.
