POSCO International & LG CNS Tokenize Live Trade Receivables on Injective Blockchain
South Korea's POSCO International and LG CNS have launched a pilot project to tokenize live trade accounts receivable on the Injective blockchain. The companies are using actual commercial data from POSCO International's overseas subsidiaries, with over $22.2 billion in revenue and more than 80 global branches across steel, energy, and battery materials.
The pilot uses permissioned tokens on the Injective blockchain, allowing authorized parties to hold and transfer assets, and settlement occurs onchain under controls managed by POSCO International's finance teams.
POSCO plans to finalize its pilot framework in H2 2026 for a phased rollout across global operations. The project aims to overcome legacy trade bottlenecks, with receivables today tracked separately by subsidiaries, banks, and counterparties, slowing reconciliation and delaying access to cash.
