POSCO International Tests Blockchain-Based Trade Receivables on Avalanche
POSCO International, the trading arm of South Korea's largest steelmaker, has successfully completed a pilot project that tokenizes trade receivables on the Avalanche blockchain. The company partnered with Olea and Intain to test this innovative approach.
The pilot involved AI systems verifying invoices, shipping records, and other trade documents before registering them on the blockchain. This ensured that the underlying transactions matched, creating a transparent ownership trail for the assets.
Once verified, Intain logged the receivables in its network, allowing Olea to handle the financing using its own capital. The partners aim to examine stablecoins for cross-border payments and develop digital treasury services.
