POSCO Puts Real Invoices on Injective Blockchain for Near-Real-Time Settlement
POSCO International has successfully completed a proof-of-concept that placed real trade receivables on the Injective blockchain. The pilot tested three technology pillars together, including blockchain-based shared ledgers for transaction visibility, tokenization of trade receivables as real-world assets, and AI agents designed to automate paperwork.
The company plans to bring the system into live operations before the end of 2026. This project has significant implications for POSCO International's global supply chain, as it could compress settlement from days to near-real-time, unlocking cash tied up in its international trade.
LG CNS brought specific institutional experience to the partnership, having previously worked on the Bank of Korea's central bank digital currency pilot and operating tokenization platforms for KOSCOM and Mirae Asset Securities. The company has not specified which subsidiary corridors or invoice volumes will be included in the initial live rollout.
