Power Law Model Sees $1.1M BTC by 2033: Technical Analysis Uncertain
Bitcoin's price growth can be predicted using a mathematical model called the Power Law curve. According to macro researcher Matthew Mezinskis, this model accurately estimates Bitcoin's fair value and projects its price to reach $1.1 million by 2033.
The Power Law model suggests that every 13% increase in Bitcoin's lifespan doubles its price, leading to compound gains of nearly 10 times over an eight-year period. This growth pattern is independent of halving cycles or adoption narratives and has outperformed other models such as the stock-to-flow framework.
On a technical analysis chart, the current price of BTC sits at $78,721.18 within Bollinger Bands, with upper resistance at $80,508.75 and lower support at $78,312.32. The bearish EMA50 is currently capping upside at $78,988.42, while the EMA200 offers a deeper floor at $73,864.3. A MACD death cross at -192.16, alongside a neutral RSI of 43.89, signals exhaustion and favors a measured pullback to the 50-EMA before any continuation higher.
