PowerCompute Revenue Rises Despite Net Loss in Q2 2026
PowerCompute, a bitcoin miner and emerging AI infrastructure company, released its earnings for Q2 2026. The company reported revenue of $2.1 million, a 9.8% increase from the same period in 2025, but was flat compared to Q1 2026. Bitcoin production rose significantly, with the company mining 27.9 bitcoins in Q2 2026, up 51.6% from the year prior and 10.7% from Q1 2026.
The improved mining output helped offset lower average bitcoin prices, which dropped by 26.5% to around $72,000. However, the company swung to a net loss of $4.6 million in Q2 2026, compared to a profit of $100,000 in the same period last year.
Chief Executive Bruce Rodgers said the company is at a 'turning point,' pointing to its expansion into AI infrastructure and high-performance computing as a key strategic shift. The company has begun a small GPU pilot and is marketing available power capacity for co-location and hosting.
