Proof of Logits Blockchain Replaces Hashing with AI Inference

Ambient has built a Layer 1 blockchain that replaces traditional proof-of-work hashing with AI inference tasks. The network, called Proof of Logits (PoL), verifies that miners are actually processing large language models as claimed.

The PoL mechanism ensures the output was generated by the correct model and inputs, preventing fabricated or tampered results. Miners compete in a bidding auction to process queries through the public API, which has already served over 134 billion tokens.

Ambient's infrastructure is designed to be compatible with the Solana Virtual Machine, targeting approximately 65,000 transactions per second. This high throughput is necessary for an AI inference marketplace that demands efficient processing of large models.
