PROVE Token Unlocks with a Twist: Official Numbers vs Public Trackers
The PROVE token reached its one-year vesting lock expiration on August 5th. Under the terms of the Succinct Foundation, 100 million investor and contributor tokens were scheduled to unlock, totaling 51.3% of CryptoSlate's estimate of 195 million circulating tokens.
The foundation's tokenomics set a supply limit of 1 billion PROVE tokens, with 10.5% allocated to investors and 29.5% to contributors. A quarter of each allocation was scheduled to unlock after one year, equating to 26.25 million tokens for the investor tranche and 73.75 million for contributors.
However, public trackers CoinGecko and Tokenomics.com reported different totals: 208.33 million and 233.332 million PROVE, respectively. These discrepancies arise from differences in labeling, with CoinGecko counting 16.67 million for public allocation and incentives, 8.33 million for the foundation, and 83.33 million for ecosystem and research development.
The token's market performance is also noteworthy, with a current price of around $0.17 and a market cap of approximately $32.69 million. The PROVE/USDT depth on Binance showed roughly $102,821 above the quoted price and $100,419 below it at one moment.
