Pump.Fun Fees Top $10M as Revenue Overtakes Hyperliquid
Pump.fun's protocol fees have reached new heights, surpassing $10 million for the first time in its current reporting series. The platform generated $10.03 million in weekly protocol fees during the week of Aug. 3 to 9, marking a 12% increase from the previous week.
This milestone comes as trading activity on the platform has strengthened. Ecosystem trading volume reached $2.97 billion, its strongest weekly total since late January. Pump.fun's Terminal trading product and launchpad also saw increased activity, with bonding curve volume accounting for $751.6 million and PumpSwap processing another $2.22 billion.
The platform's revenue has overtaken Hyperliquid's, according to data from DefiLlama. Over the past 30 days, Pump.fun recorded $35.67 million in revenue, while Hyperliquid generated $32.46 million. This is despite the fact that Hyperliquid primarily reflects fees routed to its Assistance Fund for HYPE purchases.
Pump.fun has committed to routing 50% of its revenue towards PUMP buybacks and burns through a locked smart contract. During the week in question, the platform purchased and burned approximately 2.15 billion PUMP, worth $5.02 million. This brings the cumulative repurchases and burns to offsetting 15.7% of the token's original total supply.
