Pump.fun Surges to Third Place in Crypto Revenue Rankings
A platform that allows anyone to launch a memecoin in under two minutes has become one of the top-earning protocols across all of crypto. Pump.fun, which operates on the Solana blockchain, generated roughly $12 million in revenue over the past seven days, according to DefiLlama data.
This puts it behind only Tether and Circle, with respective revenues of $111.88 million and $44.45 million.
Pump.fun's revenue engine is surprisingly straightforward. The platform charges fees on bonding-curve trades for newly created tokens and collects graduation fees when those tokens migrate to decentralized exchanges.
The platform has cumulatively earned over $1.2 billion in total revenue since launching in early 2024, with half of that feeding directly into a buyback-and-burn program for PUMP, the platform's native token.
