Pump.fun Surges to Third Spot Among Top-Earning Crypto Protocols
Pump.fun has become one of the top-earning protocols in crypto, raking in $12 million in revenue over the past seven days. According to DefiLlama data, this puts it behind only Tether and Circle, which earned $111.88 million and $44.45 million respectively.
The platform's revenue engine is built around fees from bonding-curve trades for newly created tokens, graduation fees when those tokens migrate to decentralized exchanges, and income from PumpSwap, its companion trading product. Over the past 24 hours, Pump.fun generated $1.62 million in fees, with a 30-day revenue figure of $40.51 million.
Since launching in early 2024, Pump.fun has cumulatively earned over $1.2 billion in total revenue, with half of that feeding into a buyback-and-burn program for PUMP tokens. This mechanism works by purchasing PUMP tokens on the open market and permanently destroying them, reducing total supply over time.
