Pump.fun, the Solana-based platform for creating meme coins, has initiated its PUMP token unlock. The distribution of 4.94 billion tokens began approximately five hours ago and has already reached 125 wallets.

The valuation of these tokens is roughly $13.6 million, according to on-chain analyst EmberCN's analysis shared on X (formerly Twitter).

Token unlocks are designed to prevent sudden market dumps by gradually releasing locked tokens to team members, investors, and advisors over time.

This event marks a significant milestone for the project as early backers and team members gain access to their token allocations.
