PYTH Surges on Bullish Sentiment, But Risks Lurk Below
Pyth Network's token, PYTH, has been on an upward trajectory in recent days, defying its previous bearish trend. The asset has surged by a double-digit percentage, with community sentiment showing strong bullishness.
According to CoinMarketCap, the current sentiment across PYTH is +4.64, indicating optimism among investors. This positive sentiment has contributed to the price increase, despite a decline in the number of holders. In fact, Pyth's holder count has fallen by over 3,000 since January and around 600 over the past 30 days.
However, some indicators suggest that a short takeover could be possible, leaving room for a potential price decline. The liquidation heatmap shows a concentration of unfilled buy orders below the current price, which could pull the price down to fill these orders.
The Funding Rate has also climbed to 0.0054%, indicating that longs control most of the market activity. This, combined with a significant increase in open interest, suggests stronger interest from traders positioning themselves to go long on PYTH.
