Quantum Solutions Expands Ether Sale Ceiling Amid AI Data-Center Push
Japan-listed Quantum Solutions has expanded its sale of Ether (ETH) to fund its AI data-center push. The company raised its ceiling to sell up to 4,375 ETH by July 30, but only 1,714.8 ETH is currently unpledged.
The group can still sell up to 2,471 more ETH, with the latest sale generating $1.903 million in proceeds at a price of $1,903 per ETH. However, Quantum expects a loss of approximately JPY 17 million due to the sale price being below the May 31 carrying value of $2,003.97 per ETH.
Quantum's current balance is 4,764.8 ETH, with 3,050 ETH remaining pledged to a Singapore-based lender and 1,714.8 ETH outside the pledge. To use its full remaining sale authority without touching the pledged coins, the group would need at least 756.2 ETH released from the collateral arrangement.
Quantum has stated that any further sales will depend on market conditions, ETH prices, progress in its AI Infrastructure Data Center business, and funding needs. The company has also disclosed a separate $1.5 million unsecured, interest-free loan to Compass Cloud AI Japan, which was used to finance part of the data-center deposit.
