Quantum Solutions Expands Ethereum Sales Authority Amid AI Push
Japan-listed Quantum Solutions has expanded its Ether holdings sale authority to 4,375 ETH. This decision was made on July 30 and allows the company to sell more of its Ethereum stash than previously allowed.
The expansion is a result of subsidiary GPT Pals Studio selling another 1,000 ETH, which will help fund its AI data-center push. This sale brings the total amount sold under the policy to 1,904 ETH, with proceeds net of transaction fees totaling $1.903 million at an average price of $1,903 per ETH.
Quantum expects a loss of roughly JPY 17 million due to the sale price being below the May 31 carrying value of $2,003.97 per ETH.
A gap in the company's current balance has raised questions about its ability to use its full remaining sale authority without touching the pledged coins. The group is short by 756.2 ETH to meet this condition and would need at least that much ETH released from the collateral arrangement or obtain it outside of the pledge.
