Quantum Solutions Sells 1,000 ETH, Raises Ethereum Disposal Limit for AI Infrastructure
Japan-listed Quantum Solutions has sold 1,000 ETH from its treasury holdings and increased the cumulative disposal limit for Ethereum sales to secure funding for its AI infrastructure business.
The company, listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange's Standard market, disclosed that it sold the 1,000 ETH held by a consolidated subsidiary on Wednesday. It also revised its group-wide Ethereum sale plan announced on June 4, raising the cumulative disposal limit to 4,375 ETH from 1,875 ETH and extending the sale period through October 30.
Quantum Solutions plans to deploy the funds in its AI infrastructure business, which includes building an AI data center (AIDC) in the Asia-Pacific region. The company previously stated that it would sell part of its Ethereum holdings to secure investment funds needed for this project.
According to the company's disclosure, the sale decision took into account funding needs, efficiency in fund management, financial soundness, and crypto market conditions. Proceeds from the sale were approximately 311 million yen.
