QuFi Launches Post-Quantum Verification Platform with Bitcoin Testnet Proof
QuFi Network Limited has launched its post-quantum verification platform, designed to sit on top of existing blockchain infrastructure. The platform uses three NIST-standardized algorithms and aims to provide a secure solution for institutional adoption. QuFi's hybrid architecture decouples verification from settlement, allowing multiple networks to share a single verification layer and split the associated costs.
The first live demonstration used Bitcoin's Testnet4, where a synthetic token called uBTC was minted, burned, and redeemed without requiring any changes to Bitcoin's underlying protocol. QuFi selected algorithms that sit at the center of NIST's standardization effort, finalized in 2024. This matters for institutional adoption, as regulated entities tend to move toward government-endorsed standards.
The platform is not limited to Bitcoin and plans to expand to EVM ecosystems, Stellar, and Solana. QuFi has also opened its Genesis Node Program to build out the verification infrastructure and create a decentralized network. Institutional partnerships and seed financing initiatives are underway.
