QuFi Tackles Quantum Computing Threats with Decoupled Verification Layer
QuFi Network Limited has launched its post-quantum verification platform, dubbed QuFi Platform, on September 4, 2026. This innovation sits atop existing blockchain infrastructure and addresses a long-theorized threat: quantum computing's potential to compromise current cryptography.
The first live demonstration used Bitcoin's Testnet4 to create a synthetic token called uBTC, which underwent a full lifecycle of minting, burning, and redemption as an ordinary Bitcoin transaction. Crucially, no modifications were needed to Bitcoin's underlying protocol, as the quantum-resistant verification layer operated independently.
QuFi's hybrid architecture combines three NIST-standardized algorithms: ML-DSA-65 for digital signatures, SLH-DSA as a hash-based backup layer, and ML-KEM-1024 for key encapsulation. This approach decouples verification from settlement, allowing multiple networks to share a single verification layer and split the associated costs.
The platform's expansion plans include EVM ecosystems, Stellar, and Solana, which collectively cover significant ground in tokenized assets. QuFi has also opened its Genesis Node Program to build out the actual verification infrastructure through decentralized node operators.
