QuFi's Post-Quantum Protection Platform Demonstrates Quantum Resistance for Bitcoin
The QuFi Network has developed a post-quantum verification platform for digital assets that can protect Bitcoin from future quantum attacks. The solution, which is built on top of existing blockchain infrastructure, separates cryptographic verification from final execution and moves it outside the main network.
This approach reduces the load on the main network and allows the underlying Bitcoin protocol to remain unchanged. The QuFi architecture uses a separate network of nodes for independent verification, submitting compact proofs to the blockchain that are sufficient for further execution.
The system utilizes three standards developed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology: ML-DSA-65, SLH-DSA, and ML-KEM-1024. These standards provide post-quantum protection against vulnerabilities in digital signatures and key exchange.
For demonstration purposes, the team created uBTC, a proof-of-concept that confirms the presence of BTC as collateral and issues cryptographic proofs for subsequent value transfer. The funds are ultimately sent via a regular Bitcoin transaction, which can be verified on the network without updating the rules of the first cryptocurrency.
