Quidax Secures Provisional License from Nigerian SEC, Expands User Base to Over 1 Million
Quidax is a fast-growing cryptocurrency exchange that has carved out a niche for itself in the African market. Launched in mid-2018 by Buchi Okoro, Uzo Awili, and Morris Ebieroma, the platform has grown from serving just 50 customers to over 1 million accounts today.
The exchange secured a provisional operating license from Nigeria's Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in August 2024, making it the first crypto exchange to do so. This approval supports Nigeria's push for clearer oversight and greater trust in digital assets.
Quidax offers robust security features, including two-factor authentication and cold wallets for storing customer funds. The platform also has a user-friendly interface that allows both new and experienced traders to navigate and execute tasks with ease.
