Raiffeisen Bank Doubles Down on Strategy Stake

Raiffeisen Bank International, one of Austria's largest financial institutions, has significantly increased its exposure to Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) during the fourth quarter of 2025.

The bank expanded its holdings by 3,080% compared to the previous quarter, now holding 5,980 shares of the software company turned Bitcoin treasury operator, valued at approximately $554,000.

This move aligns with a broader trend of European banks cautiously exploring digital assets. Buying shares in a publicly traded company like Strategy offers a more familiar and regulated pathway for traditional financial institutions to participate in the crypto economy.

Raiffeisen's increased stake carries symbolic weight, demonstrating that mainstream financial players are gradually acknowledging Bitcoin's legitimacy as an asset class. Institutional adoption has been a key driver of Bitcoin's price appreciation, and moves like this could encourage other banks to follow suit.
