Rain Protocol's RAIN Token Sees Whale Accumulation Amidst Protocol Updates
Rain Protocol has made significant strides in August, transforming its prediction markets into something builders can control. The project's listing on Hyperliquid, a $108 million token burn, an independent security audit, and the launch of SDK v2 have given Rain plenty to discuss.
Now, the RAIN price is showing a similar shift on-chain, with rising activity and aggressive whale accumulation adding another layer to the story. Active addresses have been rising throughout Q3 and increased significantly by late August 2026.
Rain's protocol-level updates are stacking up while its token activity appears to be changing beneath the surface. Hacken completed an independent audit of Rain Protocol's prediction market contracts after reviewing the onchain order book, resolution and dispute logic, and fee accounting across three audit cycles.
The updated code was retested, clearing the way for Rain SDK v2's official launch on August 27. The new version replaces v1 and gives builders access to onchain order placement, matching and cancellation.
