Rakuten Wallet Gives Away Physical SHIB Coins to Holders

Japanese crypto exchange Rakuten Wallet has announced a giveaway for holders of Shiba Inu (SHIB) in Japan. The event will take place at Rakuten Wallet's Securities Investment Academy in Fukuoka on September 12, where senior analyst Matsuda will present. SHIB holders who attend the event and show proof of their holdings can receive a physical metal souvenir coin.

The real SHIB coin giveaway is part of Rakuten Wallet's efforts to support Shiba Inu. The exchange listed SHIB in April, allowing millions of Japanese users to convert loyalty points into SHIB and spend them at 5 million retail locations across the country.

Rakuten Wallet also announced the creation of a physical SHIB coin in July, using sandblasting technology for a blast finish. The metal souvenir has no technical connection to the blockchain.
