Rarible has expanded its NFT marketplace to Solana, marking a significant milestone in the platform's growth. The launch follows several months of development and testing, during which Rarible consulted with NFT communities to understand their needs and preferences.

Claynosaurz, a Solana-based entertainment brand featuring animated dinosaur characters, is the first featured collection on the new marketplace. Rarible plans to add more collections from across the network in the coming weeks, with a focus on creating collection-specific experiences rather than just listing assets on a standard interface.

The expansion comes as EU lawmakers consider clearer rules for NFTs and other crypto sectors, which could impact marketplaces like Rarible. Solana's low transaction fees and fast settlement times make it an attractive platform for frequent NFT trading and lower-priced digital collectibles.
