Ravencoin Blockchain at Risk of Multi-Day Reorganization
Ravencoin's blockchain is at risk of a multi-day reorganization after a consensus exploit, which could reverse confirmed transactions and halt exchange deposits. This risk affects blocks starting from height 4,487,775.
The issue arises from a critical vulnerability in Ravencoin's KAWPOW consensus protocol that allowed invalid blocks to be accepted from block height 4,487,776 onwards. Two major mining pools, 2Miners and RavenMiner, are building a competing chain to exclude the exploited blocks.
This has led exchanges like Upbit and Bitget to suspend Ravencoin deposits and withdrawals to prevent losses. Users should treat recent transactions as unsettled and avoid resending disappeared transactions until the network stabilizes.
