Ray, an open-source distributed computing framework for scaling Python and AI applications, has introduced native gVisor sandboxing in its latest release, Ray 2.58.

This feature enables scalable, isolated environments directly into Ray clusters, particularly designed for agentic reinforcement learning (RL) workloads where untrusted model-generated code requires execution in secure isolation.

The integration leverages Google's open-source gVisor runtime to provide secure, lightweight execution environments, simplifying the process by leveraging existing APIs and reducing operational complexity for users managing large-scale AI workloads.
