Raydium's RAY token surged 24.5% in the past 24 hours, according to CoinGecko data, with daily trading volume reaching $173.8 million. This represents a significant spike in activity, accounting for approximately 77% of the protocol's market cap.

The growth can be attributed to the broader on-chain activity on Solana, with SOL trading at $85.89, down just 0.6%. The increase in trading volumes is seen across multiple protocols, including Orca, which reported a 63% price surge with $348.8 million in volume.

Raydium's architecture, built on the central order book model borrowed from Serum, allows liquidity providers to earn fees from both AMM swaps and limit-order activity. The protocol also functions as a launchpad for new Solana tokens through its AcceleRaytor program.
