Raydium Token Price Surges 24% Amid Solana DeFi Frenzy
The Solana-based automated market maker Raydium has seen a significant surge in trading volume, with its token price climbing 24.5% in the past 24 hours. The daily trading volume reached $173.8M, accounting for approximately 77% of its $224M market capitalization.
Raydium is built on Solana and uses a central order book model to facilitate liquidity provision and fee generation. It also serves as a launchpad for new Solana tokens through its AcceleRaytor program, which has contributed to the recent increase in trading activity.
The spike in volume can be attributed to the broader on-chain activity on Solana, with SOL trading at $85.89. The surge in meme token launches and related launchpads routing directly through Raydium pools has also driven the increased demand for Solana-native trading.
