RedotPay Faces $472.8 Million Lawsuit Amid Fintech Recognition
RedotPay's recent recognition as one of CNBC's World's Top Fintech Companies 2026 has been overshadowed by a lawsuit filed by Binance-affiliated entities. The lawsuit, which seeks nearly $472.8 million in damages, alleges that RedotPay co-founders diverted more than 470,000 Binance users to the company.
RedotPay responded to the lawsuit on August 5, stating that it would have no impact on its day-to-day operations and that the company is vigorously defending all claims. The company pointed out that the past month marked a record for on-chain spending by its users and that it continues to rank as the leading crypto card program tracked by Paymentscan.
RedotPay's growth has come organically through word of mouth, with users increasingly relying on stablecoins for everyday payments and protection against inflation. The company reiterated that most of its growth has come from user adoption rather than external factors.
