Reform Party Lands $5.4M BitMEX Donation Amid Foreign Funding Scandal
UK's Reform Party has received another significant donation from BitMEX founder Ben Delo. The former crypto exchange owner, who was pardoned by Donald Trump in 2025 after being convicted of failing to implement money laundering checks at his exchange, donated £4 million ($5.4 million) to the party.
This latest contribution brings Delo's total donations to the Reform Party this year to £8 million. In addition to funding the social media campaigns of multiple right-wing parties via a Westminster political hub, Delo has been linked to other high-profile politicians and parties in the UK.
The donation follows another foreign donation scandal involving Reform UK, with senior figures caught on camera organizing illegal foreign donations. Nigel Farage, the party's leader, has denied any wrongdoing, calling comments from his former officials 'loose pub talk'.
