Reform Party Swells War Chest with £4m Crypto Donation

Share

Nigel Farage's Reform party has received another £4 million from British crypto billionaire Ben Delo, who was pardoned by Donald Trump. This donation brings Delo's total contribution to the party to £8 million.

The money was donated in two separate tranches, with one of them coming during the second quarter of this year. According to the Electoral Commission, Reform received no donations from Thai crypto investor Christopher Harborne, who has given £15 million to the party since the general election.

The donor cap, which applies since March, states that donors must be on the UK domestic electoral register for at least 12 months or else they cannot give more than £100,000 a year. Reform believes Delo will not be caught by this cap.
