Reform UK Ditches Crypto Firms for Diplomats and Manufacturers
Nigel Farage's Reform UK party has removed crypto firms from its conference sponsor list, replacing them with diplomats and manufacturers. The move comes after British police revealed a $1.4 million Bitcoin forfeiture.
Last year, Zebec was a key backer of the Reform UK conference, but no crypto company appears on this year's sponsor list. Free tickets and access to senior figures have also been cut, according to Bloomberg.
Reform UK is highlighting its diplomatic clout as it seeks to show that it's ready to lead Britain. The party's honorary treasurer, Nick Candy, is promoting foreign guests from countries such as India, Italy, Poland, the UAE, and the US, alongside French National Rally leader Jordan Bardella.
However, some renewable energy executives remain reluctant to appear, fearing they will be legitimizing the party. Despite this, the conference has sold over 600 tickets on its first business day, drawing in companies such as JCB, TikTok, and Heathrow.
