Reform UK Ditches Crypto Ties for Mainstream Business Allies

Reform UK is shifting its focus away from crypto and digital assets ahead of its upcoming conference in Birmingham. The party has traditionally been associated with cryptocurrency supporters, but this year's lineup shows a significant change.

No crypto brands are listed as sponsors for the three-day event, which takes place next week. In contrast to last year when Zebec was a headline sponsor, major technology companies and established businesses are now taking center stage.

The party's treasurer Nick Candy emphasized the 'extraordinary' international engagement ahead of the conference, citing dignitaries from nearly a dozen countries as evidence of Reform's growing influence. However, not all business leaders are confident in attending, with some executives hesitant to be seen as validating the party due to its infighting and lack of professionalism.

Despite this, corporate curiosity about Reform UK has increased since the last conference, with businesses opting for direct engagement over mere observation. The Treasury's recent announcement that it will task the Bank of England with supporting digital money growth also underscores the government's continued interest in crypto regulation.
