A second British billionaire has made a record-breaking donation of $48.7m to far-right Reform UK party, matching a contribution made by another businessman just a day earlier.

The donation brings the total sum pledged to Reform since Friday to $97m, amidst concerns over the party's finances and potential foreign funding violations.

The donor, 63-year-old cryptocurrency investor Christopher Harborne, described the contribution as a 'philanthropic gift' to the country, citing his desire to level the political playing field.

This comes after fellow billionaire Ben Delo pledged $48.7m to Reform on Friday, sparking questions about the party's financial backing and potential foreign influence.
