Reform UK Receives Record £36 Million Crypto Donation from BitMEX Co-Founder

Share

Reform UK has received a record-breaking donation of £36 million from cryptocurrency billionaire Ben Delo, co-founder of BitMEX. The funds were provided upfront to ensure a 'fair fight and a level playing field' against Labour and Conservative parties, according to Delo.

The move comes as the House of Lords considers legislation that includes a proposed cap on donations from British citizens living overseas, set at £100,000. Delo made the donation to avoid attempts to block it, which would have been triggered by the planned legislation.

Reform UK's leader Nigel Farage welcomed the donation, saying 'I am honoured and humbled that Ben Delo has shown such confidence in Reform.' He added that Delo understands their party is the only one capable of turning Britain around and reversing its decline.
