Reform UK Receives Record £36 Million Donation from Crypto Investor Ben Delo

Share

Crypto investor Ben Delo has pledged £36 million to Nigel Farage's Reform UK party in an effort to help them prepare for government. This massive donation dwarfs the previous record of £10 million left by businessman John Sainsbury to the Conservatives, according to the Electoral Commission.

Delo, a British co-founder of crypto trading platform BitMEX, was convicted of a Bank Secrecy Act violation in the United States and later pardoned by President Donald Trump. Despite this, he remains committed to supporting Reform UK, having previously donated £8 million to the party.

In an opinion piece published in The Telegraph, Delo emphasized the importance of Reform UK preparing for government. He stated that the party should focus on developing thought-through policies and drafting legislation, rather than trying to raise funds.
