Crypto billionaire Ben Delo has donated £36 million to Reform UK, the largest gift in British political history. The donation comes despite multiple funding scandals surrounding the party.

Delo, co-founder of the BitMEX cryptocurrency exchange, said he wanted a fair fight and a level playing field, unlike his critics who claim to care about democracy but are actually protecting their interests.

The £36 million is intended to help Reform UK prepare for government. Delo has also pledged to give the party £1 million per month until the next general election in 2029, which is why he made a single large payment rather than spreading it out over time.
