Reform UK Receives Record-Breaking Crypto Donation from Ben Delo

Share

Crypto investor Ben Delo has donated £36 million to Britain's populist Reform UK party, stating that he wants to ensure a 'fair fight' against the country's two main parties. This record-breaking donation dwarfs the previous record of £10 million left by British businessman John Sainsbury to the Conservatives in 2022.

Delo was convicted of a Bank Secrecy Act violation in the US and pardoned by President Donald Trump, but remains committed to Reform UK's cause. The party is led by veteran Brexit campaigner Nigel Farage, who has seen his support wane over allegations about donations before the election due in mid-2029.

Farage welcomed the donation, saying he was 'humbled' and that Delo knows they are the only party capable of turning the country around. Delo himself wrote an opinion piece for The Telegraph, stating that Reform UK should focus on preparing for government rather than fundraising.
