Reform UK Receives Record Crypto Donation from Pardoned Investor Ben Delo
Crypto investor Ben Delo has donated £36 million to Reform UK, a populist party in Britain led by Nigel Farage. The donation dwarfs the previous record of £10 million left to the Conservatives by John Sainsbury.
Delo, who was convicted of a Bank Secrecy Act violation and pardoned by President Donald Trump, said he wanted to ensure a 'fair fight' with Britain's two main parties, the Labour Party and Conservatives. He stated that Reform should focus on preparing for government rather than raising funds.
Farage welcomed the donation, saying it was an honour and humbling that Delo had shown such confidence in Reform. The party has seen its support wane over allegations about donations before the election due in mid-2029.
