Reform UK Swells War Chest with $49 Million Crypto Donation

Crypto billionaire Christopher Harborne has donated £36 million to Britain's Reform UK party, matching a record contribution made by fellow crypto investor Ben Delo just a day earlier.

The donation brings the total amount received by Reform UK from two donors in less than 48 hours to £72 million, exceeding what either the governing Labour Party or the opposition Conservatives spent during last year's election campaign, according to Electoral Commission figures.

Harborne, already Reform UK's biggest donor, disclosed his contribution in a Telegraph newspaper article, stating that Delo's pledge had inspired him to match it. He wrote, 'What do I expect in return for my donations? Nothing. No peerage, no policy change, just a party that is ready for government.'

The funding allegations have led to a drop in Reform UK's lead in opinion polls. The party denies any irregularities in its funding.
