Regulated Firms Join Canton Blockchain as Validators
Regulated Singapore-based companies FOMO Pay and 1exchange have joined Canton as network validators, expanding their capabilities to support tokenized real-world assets and institutional payment infrastructure.
Canton is a privacy-enabled public blockchain designed for regulated capital markets and institutional financial activity. The approvals will strengthen the efforts of both companies in this space, particularly for 1exchange, which operates a regulated marketplace for real-world asset security tokens.
Sheena Lim, CEO of 1exchange, stated that the future development of tokenized markets depends on 'the range of assets moved onto blockchain networks but also on the quality and reliability of the infrastructure supporting those assets.'
Canton's technology is designed to allow authorized participants to share transaction information selectively while maintaining connectivity across the broader network. This approach addresses confidentiality, compliance, and information-sharing requirements of regulated financial institutions.
