Remixpoint Abandons Altcoin Portfolio, Bets Big on Bitcoin
Japanese company Remixpoint has made significant changes to its cryptocurrency portfolio, selling off all of its holdings in altcoins and concentrating on Bitcoin. According to a September 2 announcement, Remixpoint sold approximately 901 ETH, 13,920 SOL, 1.1912 million XRP, and 2.8 million Dogecoin on September 1.
The sale generated a net gain of around $742,000, with Ether producing a $379,000 gain, Solana returning $311,000, and XRP adding about $72,000. However, the company took a loss on its Dogecoin holdings, selling them at a $21,000 loss against their fiscal-year book value.
Remixpoint now holds approximately 1,506 Bitcoin, valued at over $115 million at current prices, making it Japan's third-largest corporate Bitcoin holder. The company stated that the move was to clarify its investment strategy and improve capital efficiency.
