Remixpoint Abandons Altcoin Portfolio for All-Bitcoin Bet
Japanese company Remixpoint has made a significant shift in its treasury strategy. In June, it began buying altcoins to protect its capital from the weakening yen, accumulating around 1.2 million XRP tokens and adding Solana and Dogecoin to its balance sheet.
Internal financial models projected revenue from the crypto segment of up to ¥12.44 billion. However, management changed course over the summer after assessing market risks and altcoin volatility, opting for a 'selection and concentration' strategy.
The company's entire crypto portfolio was sold in a single day on September 1, 2026, with Remixpoint recording a net profit of ¥117.77 million from the sale. The results were mixed: Ethereum generated a profit of ¥60.20 million, while XRP yielded a profit of ¥11.52 million.
Remixpoint's new strategy focuses on Bitcoin, which generates stable passive income and interest through its lending program. Between February and August 2026, the company accumulated 14.92 BTC in interest, generating ¥164.21 million without selling the underlying asset.
