Remixpoint Abandons Altcoins for All-BTC Treasury
Remixpoint, a Tokyo-listed energy and digital asset firm, has made a significant shift in its treasury strategy. In a timely disclosure filed on September 2, 2026, the company confirmed it sold all of its Ethereum (901.44 ETH), Solana (13,920 SOL), XRP (1.19 million units), and Dogecoin (2.8 million units) holdings on September 1.
The total proceeds from the sales came to ¥878,814,569 (~$5.5 million). After the sales, Remixpoint now holds only Bitcoin (approximately 1,506 BTC), solidifying its move towards a pure Bitcoin treasury strategy.
Remixpoint's decision to exit all altcoins is notable given Japan's regulatory direction, which is advancing a bill to treat Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP like stocks. This could lead to a reduction in crypto tax rates to 20%.
The company's logic behind the move is clear: BTC serves as both the reserve asset and the yield engine. The firm has generated significant yields from its Bitcoin holdings, including 14.92 BTC (worth approximately ¥164.21 million) through lending between February and August 2026. In addition, ETH and SOL staking over the same window added ¥29.87 million.
