Remixpoint Abandons Altcoins for All-BTC Treasury
Japanese publicly listed company Remixpoint has made a bold move by selling its entire positions in Ethereum, Solana, XRP, and Dogecoin to focus exclusively on Bitcoin. This strategic decision marks a clear break from the diversified approach many companies adopted during previous cycles.
Remixpoint's crypto portfolio now consists solely of approximately 1,506 BTC, valued at around $115 million. The company joins a growing club of firms adopting the so-called Bitcoin-only strategy, popularized by MicroStrategy and increasingly replicated across the globe.
The timing is significant, as Bitcoin has been structurally dominant in the market, with its dominance strengthening over recent months. Liquidating altcoins to consolidate BTC can be seen as a quality trade: reduced residual volatility, cleaner accounting, and an asset whose institutional narrative is now firmly anchored through US spot ETFs.
Remixpoint's decision raises questions about the state of the institutional crypto market. If more companies follow suit, it could intensify selling pressure on ETH, SOL, XRP, and DOGE, as investors rotate heavily into BTC. This would reinforce the narrative that Bitcoin is the crypto reserve asset par excellence.
